Bear in mind that this price will include all materials and labor. If you build your own tiny home, you have greater choice over the materials and finishes, which can be cheaper. You will also not have to use certified labor, as you can do much of the work yourself. This means that building a tiny house does have variable costs, also depending on if you start from scratch, or use a pre-made kit to make the house.

In the long run, it is cheaper to build your own house from the beginning and choose the materials than to use a prebuilt kit or manufactured home.

Another factor to consider if you build your tiny house yourself, is the cost of getting in an electrician and plumber to do those finishes. They will also need to sign off for the work.
