It’s time to upgrade your popup tent to something that can fit your whole family comfortably. If you are looking for large tents to provide your campers with all the space they need during their stay, these spacious tents for families are the way to go. Below, we’ll show you the different types of tents, and which of the largest tents are the most popular. Additionally, we’ll go over some key features of those twelve-person tents and how they are designed to make camping a comfortable experience for everyone.
Before you can choose a tent that is the right one for you, you’ll need to know a little more about what is out there. Below, we’ll show you the most popular tent styles and go over how these options benefit some campers.
A-Frame tents are the classic-looking tent with a triangle entrance and a rod running the length of them to keep the middle of the tent tall from front to back. They are always supported with a pole in the front and the back of the tent and offer flaps for the doors at either end.
Although it’s not a common tent type to see, pyramid tents are a tried and true design. Supported by a single rod in the center, with the tarp sloping out and away, these tents are built to be easy to set up and provide ample floor space.
Another distinctive tent style, these types of tents are supported by three poles bent into arches to support the tent frame. This style offers spacious interiors and lots of head space.
Dome tents are the most common type of tent to see at the campground. Many of the major camping equipment companies specialize in these types of tents because they are compact to carry around and, although they are more complex to set up, they off better interior space and can be incredibly spacious.
Popup tents are ready to use without the need to build a structure, so they are an excellent option for quick and easy setup at the campground.
Cabin tents can be any type of the tents above; this design refers to the addition of room within the tent to give privacy to multiple campers.
The Core 12 Instant is one of the largest family tents on the market at 80”. It offers sleeping space for up to twelve in a cabin-style design. This allows each of the three rooms in the tent to provide privacy for whoever is using it.
Another excellent option for large families is the CampPros, which is a tunnel-style tent with sleeping for twelve and three rooms, as well. Unlike the cabin-style of the Core 12 Instant, the CampPros line up these rooms in a corridor, but it still offers privacy, which makes it easy to enjoy vacations with friends and family.
Make your next camping adventure more fun for everyone when you have all the space you need to ensure your crew stays comfortable all week long! Large tents are the perfect way to give everyone the shelter they need to wake up feeling rested, and ready for the new day!
